we sit on our ‘jelly bean’ and we think.

together our minds make a picture 

worth finishing. a problem occurs!

we stop mid-thought. freeze these

sweet images we have conjured. 

leave them ‘on the bean’ for our return.

we head off to use our skills at solving.

we move in the direction we need, not 

the way we want. 

to need, i argue, should not always beat

out to want. 

if we always did what we needed, 

we may never

Enal, a young sea nomad, rides on the tail of a tawny nurse shark, in Sulawesi, Indonesia. Marine nomadism has almost completely disappeared in South East Asia as a result of severe marine degradation. I believe children such as Enal have stories that could prove pivotal in contemporary marine conservation.

Just… wow. Our money’s on Morgan for the win.
